Our Philosophy On Vitamin IV Therapy To Maintain Wellness

Since 2016 our clinic has loaded up one IV infusion to help maintain health & wellness. Our wellness infusion has stood the test of time and is still unchanged. Covid proved to us we were on the right track as when our Covid testing line grew, whether you were an established patient of ours or not, we offered an IV infusion and home patient teaching to get you started on the right foot. Our IV treated patients had quicker recoveries and few hospital admits. As the first year came and went, research about low glutathione levels and it’s possible role in the presentation of severity in symptoms was released. Ecstatic to hear, we of course made no changes to our infusion because from day one, glutathione was the most important ingredient! As treatment protocols changed during that time, one stayed constant with us, our Wellness Vitamin Infusion.

In 2016 as an established nurse practitioner retiring from the county family clinic life and branching off into a more integrative practice, I was taking criticism and comments of fear from every angle. Was I jumping into uncharted waters for our area of medical practice? For sure I was. I felt as a solid, long term independent nurse practitioner, getting up there in age, with a self motivated mind that reads and watches less tv than most, as medical providers we have to offer more things easily to our patients and I was capable of doing so. We have to make it affordable. We have to let our patients be collaborators and not subservient to the system. When it came to the aspect of IV therapy in my practice, I did not want to have this menu of ridiculous IVs loaded with saline and 1-2 vitamins. It is not good practice to increase the odds of infection performing such an invasive therapy nor trying unnecessarily to infuse a sub par therapy, ruining a patient’s veins so when a necessary treatment is needed there is difficulty. That puts a bad name on the industry in my opinion and its raping the patient’s pocketbook. I have to practice and still keep the respect of the medical community that has supported and grown my knowledge. I wanted and still want a practice that is a resource for other medical providers to refer to because they know you are getting a treatment that is superior. I also require a staff that is good at what they do and understands this treatment is voluntary. Efficiency and technique have to be better than the average clinic, ER or hospital.

As we reach the end of 2023, years have passed. Covid is another virus and integrative medicine is on the rise. People are being more collaborative in their health and the importance of vitamins, gut health and preventative care are not scary topics in and out of your primary care provider’s office. Although I still shake my head at the IV infusion cocktails I see online, we are as a whole showing patients how to do their part and take care of themselves. Because it’s the right time, we have added more specific infusions to our list of treatments. These infusions are of course piggy backed on our solid Wellness Infusion but yet, include ingredients that are researched backed and influential in assisting more specific complaints.
